Danilo Catelli, PhD
Assistant Professor in the Department of Physical Activity Sciences at the Université du Québec à Montréal (UQAM). He previously held postdoctoral appointments at KU Leuven (Belgium) and the University of Ottawa. He received his PhD in Biomechanics from the University of Ottawa and his MSc in Bioengineering from the University of São Paulo.
His research focuses on understanding human movement through biomechanics, musculoskeletal modelling, wearable technologies, and movement analysis. His interests include pre- and early-arthritic hips, hip arthroscopy and arthroplasty outcomes, sports injuries, and the development of computational models to better understand movement and improve clinical decision-making.
